Yuri Marusik

Published 9 monographs, and over 500 scientific papers in Soviet, Russian and international journals; described more than 600 new spider species and 50 supraspecific taxa. Most of his publications are dealing taxonomy and faunistics of spiders, however there are some publications dealing with ecophysiology, paleontology of spiders, biogeography of Heteroptera and Lumbricidae, morphology of scale insects, systematics of Collembola and Acari. Yuri Marusik participated in several international expeditions to Alaska & Yukon Territory (1993), Tuva, South Siberia (1995, 1996), Kuril Islands (1995, 1996, 1997), Sakhalin (2001), Mongolia (1997), Magadan Area (1983-1988, 1992, 1997, 2002), Maritime Prov. (1998, 2001), Tien-Shang (1995), Indian Himalaya (1999), Iran (2000, 2013), South Africa and Japan (2001), Azerbaijan (2001, 2003), Crimea (2002), Gambia (2008), Turkey (2009, 2010), Israel (2010, 2011, 2019), Sri Lanka (2012), Thailand (2018), South Africa (2013-2014, 2017, 2020).
